1 pair flip flops in your size
Color A: 1 ball #3 crochet cotton
Color B: 1 ball #3 crochet cotton
Color C: 1 ball #3 crochet cotton
Size 2.75mm steel crochet hook
Yarn needle
Special Stitch: Picot.
When indicated, ch 3, sl st in first of these 3 ch. Picot complete.
LARGE FLOWER – make 2.
Worked in the round.
With Color C, ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1. Ch 1; do not turn. 6 sc in ring; join with sl st to first sc in rnd. 6 sc.
Rnd 2. Ch 1; do not turn. 2 sc in ea sc around; join with sl st to first sc in rnd. 12 sc.
Change to Color A.
Rnd 3. Ch 2 (counts as hdc); do not turn. Hdc in same st as joining, 2 hdc in ea of next sc around. Join with sl st
to beg ch-2. 24 hdc.
Rnd 4. Ch 3; do not turn. Tr in same st as joining. Then, working in flo: 2 tr in ea of next 2 hdc, (tr, ch 3, sl st) in
next hdc; petal made. *(Sl st, ch 3, tr) in next hdc, 2 tr in ea of next 2 hdc, (tr, ch 3, sl st) in next hdc; rep from *
around. 6 petals.
Finish off Color A and join Color B with sl st behind the center of one petal, in an un-used back loop of rnd 3.
Rnd 5. Ch 3; do not turn. Tr in same st as joining. Then, working in blo of rnd 3: 2 tr in ea of next 2 hdc, (tr, ch
3, sl st) in next hdc; petal made. *(Sl st, ch 3, tr) in next hdc, 2 tr in ea of next 2 hdc, (tr, ch 3, sl st) in next hdc;
rep from * around. 6 petals.
Finish off.
SMALL FLOWER – make 4.
Worked in the round.
With Color C, ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1. Ch 1; do not turn. 6 sc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc in rnd. 6 sc.
Change to Color B.
Rnd 2. Ch 1; do not turn. (Sc, ch 3, sc) in flo of ea sc around. 12 sc.
Finish off Color B and join Color A with sl st in an un-used back loop of rnd 1.
Rnd 3. Ch 1; do not turn. (Sc, ch 6, sc) in blo of ea sc in rnd 1. 12 sc.
Finish off.
LEAF – make 4.
With Color C, ch 3. In 3rd ch from hook, (dc, 2 tr, picot, tr, dc, hdc, sl st). Finish off.
FINISHING
Flip Flop Thong
Begin by joining thread with a sl st to thong as follows: Insert hook under thong, and catch slipknot in thread
with hook; pull up loop. Then, working over the thong, yarn over and pull a loop through loop on hook; sl st
made. The thread is now attached to the thong. Slide the sl st down to one corner of the shoe.
Sc around the rest of the thong as follows: Insert hook under thong and draw up a loop. Yarn over and draw
through both loops on hook; sc made. Continue single crocheting around thong until entire thong is covered.
Finish off. Repeat for other side of flip-flop, and second shoe.
Flowers
Sew large flower onto center of flip-flop. Sew one small flower on each side of the large flower. Sew one leaf on
each outer edge of the small flowers. Repeat for second shoe.
Weave in all ends.
